More Holiday Bottle Recycling Ideas

I found this great idea for wine bottle paving in Oregon. This provides smal areas of sparkling paving that becomes a real focal point. The only drawback to wine bottles is the recessed part of the bottom. Water collects there and leaves ugly mineral deposits. You can substitute with any kind of flat bottom bottle from Coke to ketchup to half gallon Jim Beam wiskey with its conveniently square bottom. The key is to dig out the soil and backfill with sand which packs tightly around the bottles.
